We enrolled Cooper into soccer. There weren't enough 4 year olds, so he is playing in the U5 division with other 4 year olds. He is the youngest on his team. The first two games were sad. He was definitely one of the weakest on his team, which was frustrating cuz we know how good he is at home. But he was having fun, so we didn't care. Last night Cooper played SO WELL! Cooper started on the starting line up. He immediately stole the ball, went on a break way, shot and missed. Then he stole the ball again, went on another breakaway and SCORED! It was amazing!! The whole game he played so well and played so strong. He had so much fun! After his first shift, they were sitting there, and one of his teammates was like, we did good we are winning, and Cooper said ya, I scored, I am the bestest. LOL he is so cute!
On the way home from Soccer, we decided to stop by our new house to see how it was coming along. The lot we picked we chose, as we were hoping to have some peak-a-boo views of the pond. We have FULL views!! Better then we could have ever imagined! As we were leaving,
Michael said "Cooper, thats our new house!"
Cooper "Those are some BAD stairs! What silly workers!"
We started laughing so hard! Then he pointed to what they are supposed to look like "People are supposed to build them like that!"
We had grilled Cheese sandwiches yesterday. As I was making them and as as usual, Cooper went and took some cheese to eat while I make them. As he grabbed a slice he said he wanted some Boy cheese. I didn't think anything of it, as everything is boys vs girls right now.
Tonight I made Grilled Cheese sandwiches again. I asked him if thats what he wanted and he said no he wants BOY CHEESE. I finally realized he thought I have been saying GIRL CHEESE Sandwiches!!
Alyssa was playing in the toy room. She kept going over to the vents, and putting her face over it and laughing so hard. The air conditioning was on, it was blowing so hard she couldn't breathe. It was so funny. She did it all night, approx an hour!

Alyssa walking at 10 months
Alyssa took her first steps on Jan 19 2011, (10 months, and 8 days old).
She could stand up in the middle of the room without Furniture since Dec 30 2010, and would take one step and fall. (9 months, 29 days)
Its been 2 weeks since she started walking, and she walks just as much as she crawls around when she wants something, carrying her toys along with her.
We took her to Playtopia yesterday, and she was so cute! She cried at first when we put her in the pile of balls, but by the end she loved it, and laughed and would even walk in there! Uncle Mark took her on the big slide even, and it didn`t even phase her.

I Love My Family...
Cooper

Cooper is the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. He is such a GREAT big brother and an amazing helper to Me and Michael. Sometimes I think we forget that he is only 3...and that he just needs to be a kid.
Cooper LOVES Buzz lightyear. Susie took him to his first movie in the theatres about 5 months ago, and they Saw Toy Story 3. Every since then, it is all he has ever talked about. Ever since Cooper could walk/talk, he has gone through his phases. First it was hockey, then cars, then lacrosse, now Buzz. When we would call his name, he would say, "I am not Cooper, I am a GOAL/Hockey player/Lacrosse player etc.. NOW, we have to call him by BUZZ :)
All he wanted for Christmas was Buzz. At first it was “Real Buzz” (Buzz that talks), then it changed to “Pretend Buzz” (the big one that doesn’t talk that he can wrestle with). When I asked Cooper what else he wanted for Christmas he said NOTHING. I suggested a few other things (things we already bought) and he kept saying, NOPE, I just want ONE thing.

Cooper got SPOILED for Christmas!! My goodness, I can’t believe how much he got. And not only that, he could open a Toy Story store!
Huge talking buzz, small talking buzz, huge buzz, Toy story-puzzle, coloring book, story book with action figures, movies 2 and 3, pajamas, sticker/paper/stamp set, 2 buzz cars, woody car, buzz jersey and a toy story puck/stick/ball. Besides that he got pirate stuff, hockey players, books, clothes, water guns, Police hat/cuffs, motorbikes and a quad. I guess thats what happens when you have 8 grandparents and 5 Aunts and 4 uncles with 5 Christmas's!!!

We have watched both Toy Storeys probably MORE than 10 times each in the last 10 days. He can sit here and quote it. It makes me shake my head, lol...
Alyssa

Alyssa, is 9.5 months, and is just blowing our minds every day. She is sooo adventurous. We never had to child proof our house for Cooper, and with Alyssa she gets into EVERYTHING! She has been climbing the stairs and walking along the furniture for some time. She has been clapping for awhile now, and waving hi and bye to us, and for the last week she has been standing up in the middle of them room with her own strength. It surprises me because she is so thin. She is in the 15% for her weight and 70 % for her height. Overall she is at 30 %. She still sleeps A LOT this makes me happy. She wakes up around 9 am, and then sleeps for 2-3 hours, then up for a few, then sleeps for another 2-3 hours, then goes to bed at 915 for the night. Alyssa has been a been a bit behind with her eating, but she is now eating some finger foods, and is LOVING it.
Alyssa and Cooper have such a love for each other. After she wakes up from her nap or Cooper comes home from school, when he sees her, it’s as if he has never seen her before. he yells her name and runs to hug her. She just lights up and starts clapping. Cooper also loves wrestling, and she can hold her own. Most of the time, he ends up telling on her, cuz she will just roll around with him on the floor, and then will go on her knees and just jump on him, it’s so funny to watch a baby make a 3 year old upset.

Alyssa did better than I thought she would at Christmas. She would pull on the paper to unwrap it-but typically would rather the paper to play with then the toy. She got clothes, a puppy, a teddy bear, and a ball toy.

We are so lucky and blessed to have Cooper and Alyssa in our life!!

I LOVE going sledding. I hadn't gone in years. This year we went, just the 4 of us, and had so much fun, that we went and bought 3 more sleds, so we now own 4!

Cooper did great! He can go by himself, and loves to spin around in a circle too.

Cooper started skating last year and he just LOVES it. This year we put him in real skates. This is him just learning, by the end he could push it all by himself!

Coopers Comments
We went to the Pageant on Christmas Eve as we always do.
When the angel is speaking to the shepherds, he says "in the City of David" Cooper, commented "I have a Coach David!!"
Later on, when the Shepherds walk, they walk with their walking sticks, and Cooper said "Look! they have big candy canes!!!"

Milestones
Alyssa is the happiest Baby i have ever seen. All you have to do is look at her, and she beams from ear to ear, and her eyes close (just like me and Susie) if you say Hi, and smile getting excited she always starts flapping her arms and kicking her legs, kinda clapping. But now, when she gets excited she will actually intentionally clap with you. Or you can start clapping and she will clap with you. Its so precious!

Coopers Comments
Cooper was given a Book of Mormon for his birthday from Auntie Rachael, Uncle Joey, and Lincoln. We went and bought the bible, so he had a matching set. Since April 5 2010, we have read almost every single night. Cooper won’t go to bed until we read.
We have now finished the Book of Mormon and the Bible. We finished the Bible last night. The last story states, that Jesus is going to come again, and that he is going to come from the sky and visit all the good people. As we drove to church Cooper said “Mommy, Jesus didn’t come yet!” in a disappointed voice.

Coopers Comments
Cooper was spinning around and around, at least 20-30 times. he was going really fast, and then flew to the ground, and said WOW, our house is moving fast! I said what do you mean? He said its spinning around and around! :)
Tonight we went shopping to Cross Iron Mills. Cooper had to go to the bathroom. He really hates the automatic toilets. When he was first potty trained, he was going pee at Southcenter, and the toilet flushed and he let go off himself and Michael got soaked! LOL but tonight, the toilet kept flushing, and Cooper said, "Why does it keep doing that?" Michael said-Its the sensors. Cooper-"I don't like sensors!"
On the drive back (on deerfoot) Cooper could see a car in front of us "Daddy honk the horn, so they move out of the way!"
Continuing on our drive: Daddy STOP! I want to look at my pants.
Cooper just came and offered me "Healthy water" :)
