I can't believe Alyssa is two months old already, its amazing how fast time flies! I am SO lucky to have two AMAZING children. It’s funny, I remember when Cooper was a baby, I thought it was so hard. I had always wanted 4 or 5 children, but after having him I said probably only 2 or 3. Michael kept saying Cooper would be an only child, for the first year I agreed. And Cooper was a good baby! While pregnant with Alyssa, everyone also told us, going from 1 to 2, is like going from 1 to 3, so I was quite nervous.
These past two months have been great. Don’t get me wrong, the first time I ran errands without Michael with the two of them, I swore I would never do it again, as it was SO difficult, especially when London Drugs shopping cart was too small to put the car seat in, so I was carrying it around the store, and holding Coopers hand. It’s getting a tiny bit easier each time, but it is still hard.
Alyssa is such an amazing little girl. She sleeps SO-O much, and when she is awake, she is smiling, and giggling, and talks so much.
Her daily schedule:Wakes up around 8am, she eats, and then sits in the swing while Cooper and I eat breakfast. She LOVES her swing. She just sits there talking and laughing at the little animals on the mobile. She usually falls asleep, so I can go get ready for work. (I have been back to work since she was 6 weeks old). The three of us leave around 11 or 1130. I feed Alyssa quickly before we leave. Cooper spends a few hours with Auntie Mishelle and sometimes Nana. Alyssa comes to work with me, and sleeps the whole time! We pick up Cooper around 2. She sleeps till about 3 then eats. She is up for an hour or two then sleeps.
Usually around 9pm, she is ready for bed, and if she doesn’t fall asleep right away she can be cranky till 10 when she falls asleep. Cooper goes to bed between 9-10, so once Alyssa is asleep, Cooper goes to bed, I pump, catch up on emails, then time to make my decision. If i got to bed, Alyssa will be up between 12-1 to eat, so i usually stay up, change Alyssa and feed her around 11, then she finally goes to sleep at 12. That way i can sleep till 4 or 5am. She eats and then sleeps till 8. DEFINATELY looking forward to when she can skip that 5 am feed!
