Breast Milk

Cooper wont drink Milk or juice, he only drinks water. As a baby he didn't get breast milk, so he gets sick a lot. The other day, Me and Michael were talking and I suggested that Alyssa have maybe a little bit of formula once in awhile and I get Cooper to drink some (as he is sick AGAIN).

Tonight, Alyssa wouldn't finish her bottle, and there was 50 ml left, so I convinced Cooper to have some. He kept refusing saying it was for baby, but I told him if he took a drink I would give him a chocolate chip. :) He took a sip. I told him to drink it all, and it would make him better. He did!

Not sure, but guessing it will help?!?

(forgot to date it on here, but Alyssa has been sitting by herself (if you put her in the position) since August 11 2010, Exactly 5 months old! Every day she can sit longer and longer!

Alyssa wants to crawl so-o bad!!

For the last month, Alyssa has been scooching along the ground. She gets up onto all fours, but falls over, or launches herself forward. She is getting close!

Today driving home from Nanas, I was exiting, and drove on the line, and it made that sound and Cooper said "huh??" so I did it again. "Why is deerfoot making that sound?"

I don't know how he knew, but we were just exiting off of deerfoot! He is SO smart. Everywhere we go, when we are close to our destination, he knows whose house we are going to!

Summerland!!

We went to Summerland this year! Since I am pumping, we decided to stay at a hotel, as it would be very difficult to pump, and clean bottles camping. We stayed at the Summerland Motel-$150/night!!! As we pulled up Cooper said "This isn't a hotel" It was so-o funny, not up to his expectations :) (He's used to elevators etc).

We had a lot of fun going to the beach every day. Alyssa came in the water with us every day! She never cried, she kicked her feet and was very content.

Cooper had a lot of fun playing in the sand, and took MANY trips to the beach to fill his bucket up with water. He even did a few trips with his "ow-a-chine" (Dump trucks)

Cooper loves splashing people in the water, and is slowly realizing if he splashes us we WILL splash him back :)

We tried to nap Alyssa at the beach. She normally naps 3-4 hours every afternoon. The longest she would nap for was an hour. She would just roll around in her tent. The last day at the beach, we never put the anchors in to hold it down, and she rolled the tent over! It was so funny!

One night we went out for Ice Cream at a beautiful look out point, we just had to take pictures!

We went to a BBQ while in Summerland, and Cooper was playing with a 12 year old boy. The boy was standing underneath the slide and Cooper couldn't see him. He started yelling "hey kid! hey kid, where are you? Little Boy?!?! Little boy??" It was so-o funny, Cooper calling him little. :)

Our main reason for going to Summerland, was Al and Jenns Love Ceremony. It was Saturday morning at this beautiful secluded beach.(above 2 pictures) The reception was that evening at the Raven, a small restaurant on a cliff overlooking Kelowna. (pictures below)

Summer Half gone :(

The past month or so, we have done our best do get out as much as possible. So far this summer we have gone to:
Fish creek park x2 (with Duzlemic siblings)
Bowness park (Duzlemic grand parents)
Cardston (with all Duzlemics)
Calaway Park x2 (with Lincoln and Richards Family)
Lake x5 (family)
Zoo x2
Stampede
Princess Island Park x2
My favorite little Ice Cream Shop
Limo ride (with both kids for a work event)

Alyssa is almost 5 months! For the past few weeks, she is just LOVING her feet! She is always holding them, and trying to get them in her mouth. She is still napping a lot, and wakes up between 430-7 for a feed. She is REALLY trying to call. She sure can get anything she wants, if she sees it, she will roll around and scouch until she gets it in her mouth!

Cooper has grown up a lot! A lot of little things that he didn't enjoy or was scared of, he now enjoys. Cooper has never enjoyed the carousel. Every time we tried to get him to go on it, he would freak out. Last time the only way I could get him on it, was by getting him to sit on the bench with Michael. Last time we were at Calaway, he ASKED if he could go on it, and didn't even let Michael hold him, he had Michael go on his own horse! He loves the little roller coaster, and still loves the boats and airplanes.
