Cooper is the most beautiful boy I have ever seen. He is such a GREAT big brother and an amazing helper to Me and Michael. Sometimes I think we forget that he is only 3...and that he just needs to be a kid.
Cooper LOVES Buzz lightyear. Susie took him to his first movie in the theatres about 5 months ago, and they Saw Toy Story 3. Every since then, it is all he has ever talked about. Ever since Cooper could walk/talk, he has gone through his phases. First it was hockey, then cars, then lacrosse, now Buzz. When we would call his name, he would say, "I am not Cooper, I am a GOAL/Hockey player/Lacrosse player etc.. NOW, we have to call him by BUZZ :)
All he wanted for Christmas was Buzz. At first it was “Real Buzz” (Buzz that talks), then it changed to “Pretend Buzz” (the big one that doesn’t talk that he can wrestle with). When I asked Cooper what else he wanted for Christmas he said NOTHING. I suggested a few other things (things we already bought) and he kept saying, NOPE, I just want ONE thing.
Cooper got SPOILED for Christmas!! My goodness, I can’t believe how much he got. And not only that, he could open a Toy Story store!
Huge talking buzz, small talking buzz, huge buzz, Toy story-puzzle, coloring book, story book with action figures, movies 2 and 3, pajamas, sticker/paper/stamp set, 2 buzz cars, woody car, buzz jersey and a toy story puck/stick/ball. Besides that he got pirate stuff, hockey players, books, clothes, water guns, Police hat/cuffs, motorbikes and a quad. I guess thats what happens when you have 8 grandparents and 5 Aunts and 4 uncles with 5 Christmas's!!!
We have watched both Toy Storeys probably MORE than 10 times each in the last 10 days. He can sit here and quote it. It makes me shake my head, lol...
Alyssa
Alyssa, is 9.5 months, and is just blowing our minds every day. She is sooo adventurous. We never had to child proof our house for Cooper, and with Alyssa she gets into EVERYTHING! She has been climbing the stairs and walking along the furniture for some time. She has been clapping for awhile now, and waving hi and bye to us, and for the last week she has been standing up in the middle of them room with her own strength. It surprises me because she is so thin. She is in the 15% for her weight and 70 % for her height. Overall she is at 30 %. She still sleeps A LOT this makes me happy. She wakes up around 9 am, and then sleeps for 2-3 hours, then up for a few, then sleeps for another 2-3 hours, then goes to bed at 915 for the night. Alyssa has been a been a bit behind with her eating, but she is now eating some finger foods, and is LOVING it.
Alyssa and Cooper have such a love for each other. After she wakes up from her nap or Cooper comes home from school, when he sees her, it’s as if he has never seen her before. he yells her name and runs to hug her. She just lights up and starts clapping. Cooper also loves wrestling, and she can hold her own. Most of the time, he ends up telling on her, cuz she will just roll around with him on the floor, and then will go on her knees and just jump on him, it’s so funny to watch a baby make a 3 year old upset.
Alyssa did better than I thought she would at Christmas. She would pull on the paper to unwrap it-but typically would rather the paper to play with then the toy. She got clothes, a puppy, a teddy bear, and a ball toy.
We are so lucky and blessed to have Cooper and Alyssa in our life!!
I LOVE going sledding. I hadn't gone in years. This year we went, just the 4 of us, and had so much fun, that we went and bought 3 more sleds, so we now own 4!
Cooper did great! He can go by himself, and loves to spin around in a circle too.
Cooper started skating last year and he just LOVES it. This year we put him in real skates. This is him just learning, by the end he could push it all by himself!
